More than a tennis club, Los Pinos is a place created around tennis, nature and a different way of life.
1989 · The Beginning
The Los Pinos Javea Tennis Club was founded in 1989 by Mariano Peinado, who was also David Ferrer’s coach until he was 12 years old. Located in a privileged place in the Spanish geography between Alicante and Valencia, in the middle of nature surrounded by pine trees and 300 meters from the cliffs of Cabo de la Nao in Javea. After many years living in Madrid, Mariano had grown tired of the traffic, noise and pace of big city life. He was looking for something different, a place away from the ordinary. When he discovered this beautiful corner of Javea, it only had two hard courts and a swimming pool. Mariano saw something that others did not. He saw the potential to create a unique place where tennis, nature and a different way of life could come together. What began with just two courts has grown into one of the most sought after places in Javea, while preserving the spirit that inspired Mariano from the very beginning: being away from the ordinary.The Next Generation
After many years, his son Amancio Peinado decided to continue the project and carry the Los Pinos story into a new generation. Amancio had always been in Mariano’s shadow. From the age of just one year old, he was already taking his first steps around Club de Tenis Los Pinos. He grew up watching the club evolve in front of his eyes, experiencing every stage of its journey and learning from the person who had created it, his father and great mentor. Today, Amancio Peinado manages the club, bringing his experience as a former tennis player and coach while continuing to follow in the footsteps of his father and great mentor.Peinado Tennis Personalized Lessons
